Communications
The Mission of the Commmunications Committee is to
promote citizen participationin all aspects of the community - historic,
economic, educational, recreational, cultural and social acitivities.
The Communications and Outreach program has inter-related functions: promotion of on-going and new GFCA activities; dispersing iformation on all meetings, activities, and lectures of GFCA, other Great Falls organizations, and government entities which directly concern our community; and, participation in major local community events and activities, including with other prime sponsors.
GFCA Website
Available to the general public and updated weekly. Has info on all GFCA meetings, each individual Committee, special Task Teams, and all local programs as well as a recently revised Community Calendar.
Monthly Newsletter
Distributed to members via e-mail and/or US mail, and to others at GFCA monthly meetings or special events. Contains articles on GFCA programs, political issues but only if they directly concern Great Falls, and, in September 2010, is expanding to include information on all community meetings, activities, and special events.
Electronic Messages
Through Constant Contact, between GFCA Newsletters, members may receive info on breaking news and meeting updates.
Public Relations
Ongoing active contacts with regional newspapers, and, as needed, other media. Additional functions include recruitment of GFCA volunteers and obtaining timely information from GFCA Committee Chairs and other organizations in Great Falls to assist the GFCA Website and GFCA Newsletter in publishing advance info on upcoming meetings and events.
