Communications Committee
The Communications Committee mission is to disseminate information
about GFCA and its activities in our community.
This is primarily done via the monthly newsletter and the website: www.gfca.org.

DEQ has authority to deal with petroleum contamination in wells. they will send out a technician to test your water for petroleum testing
Fairfax county Health Dept. - Marty Thompson. Supervisor for onsite seage systems and Well Water Spplies.
They are working with Va. DEQ to provide any county records needed, but are not directly involved in petroleum contamination testing. They provide information on, and supervision of, sampling and maintenance of wells for drinking water. There is ample information on the services provided and the types of concerns that homeowners should have at the county website. Bored wells should be tested every one to two years, drilled wells every two to three.
